Miranda Britton is an artist and jeweller working out of her home studio in Windermere, Ontario. After receiving her BFA in visual art from Vancouver’s Simon Fraser University, she returned home to the Muskoka area in 2001 to work for her family’s newspaper business.

In 2006 she indulged a lifelong fascination with personal adornment by enrolling in the Jewellery Essentials program at the Haliburton School of the Arts. Since completing the program, Miranda has developed a distinctive aesthetic, creating thoughtful and intimate works of art for the body that are inspired by the objects and shapes that she encounters in her daily life.

Miranda and her husband, photographer Scott Turnbull, are just finishing building “The Stable Studio”, a studio / gallery located in one half of their horse barn.
